Ionic Properties of Aqueous Dispersions of Phosphatidic Acid.

چکیده

Exposure to ultrasonic waves has proven an effective means for preparing aqueous dispersions of water-insoluble lipids suitable for physicochemical measurements (14). Interest in phosphatidic acid has centered on its possible role in ion transport (5-6). This paper reports titration, ion exchange, viscosity, and coagulation measurements of micelles of phosphatidic acid prepared by ultrasonic treatment. Comparisons are made with micelles of lecithin and solutions of glycerophosphoric acid. In particular, the effects of Na+, Kf, H+, and Ca+f ions upon these systems are compared.
